Artist Quotes
The Patriot Vintages are the only guitars I play. The white one is so frickin' tight sounding, it kicks the Gibson Les Paul's ass because of the tone I'm getting out of those Rockfield pickups matched with the mass of the wood.

I just played the kennedy center with my Michael Kelly. I now own nine very nice acoustic guitars two Bonanzingas and a Martin D18 s and a Guild Jumbo etc... my Michael Kelly sounded unreal plugged in, it is plugged in the most dynamic and full sounding acoustic guitar I've ever heard, and I have owned a lot of guitars and used all the popular pick up and pre amp systems and this kills them all. it sounded like a giant acoustic guitar. THe Michael Kelly made me sound better for having played it. I swear the sound guy was like "yeah that one is fuller and louder" and it just jumped!
- Brandon Butler

To put it simply, Michael Kelly guitars are the best playing, best sounding guitars I've ever bought new. They play beautifully, right out of the box. I have several vintage guitars and, to be honest, I don't use them. My Son has a metal band (High Cost Of Living) and he is hooked on his Patriot. His LP and SG stay at home. We're totally hooked. I will be using MK guitars for years to come.

I gotta tell you , this bass is something special. With the strings I use (Dogal "Jaco" flatwounds) & my rig, the Dragonfly III sounds EXACTLY like an upright bass.I'm not talking about "kinda like" an upright. I roll nearly all the mids highs off & boost the low end. Whenever another bassist hears it for the first time, I have to talk to them for at least 5 minutes & every bass nerd in town comes to hear me play. I just got another part time gig as Freddy Powers bassist & he won't let me use anything else. I just played with the infamous "Music Mafia" guys from Nashville at Poodie's the other night & they made me use it & got me to come out & do bass tracks with it the next day as well. I find it rather ironic that I now am getting calls to play a specific bass that cost me so little in comparison to the $4-5000 basses I own. This thing is taking over my life.

Last Saturday, 10/8/05, we played two shows with different back line gear. I played through a Hartke rig and an ancient Acoustic rig. The Dragonfly sounded great at both shows. It was very easy for me to get my sound utilizing the Dragonfly's electronics and it sounded wonderful!!! It has to be the most consistent sounding bass I have ever played. Man, it is a joy to play. Thanks again for your support and I hope all is well.

First of all thank you so much for the guitar, I absolutely love it. Ive played Takamine basicaly my whole musical career, Ive been a big fan of the jumbo body guitar, I was impressed with the mid - and low range but never realy liked the fact that there guitars were lacking brightness. When Adam gave me the Arena rose deluxe, I played it for a good 2 - 3 hours striaght, was so impressed with the brightness of the guitar and the balance of the low and mid-range, I will probably never play Takamine guitars ever again. I havent put it down since. The action is great, I love the neck and fret board very comfortable and not to wide. Fits like a glove. The Arena Rose Deluxe has more balls then my Takamine Jumbo and that says a lot. In all honesty your guitar has changed the way Ill play forever. I will be using it on our up - coming full-length release, and on tour.

"Michael Kelly builds the most accurate 5 string acoustic bass."
- Jason Newsted / Supernova

Being somewhat of a collector of guitars I have come to appreciate their differences: be they light, heavy, worn in fret board, feel etc. This guitar stands on its own. Its tone and sustain are fantastic. It has a fantastic feel (I love the ebony fret board) and is a great player.

Got the Patriot Shadow. Absolutely awesome guitar. I swear I've never been happier with a guitar I've owned ever...sound, feel - everything. Thank you so much!

Owner Quotes
I went in to the Music Shop to purchase a Les Paul Deluxe, an old strat, or an SG. Like I said, the Michael Kelly Valor Custom and I felt like we had been together for years and years. You have got to know that guitars have a spirit about them. You don't find your guitar. It finds you. Mine already has named itself - Gabrael in remembrance of Duane A. and Jubal-Cain. You have got it going on. Ole Les Paul and SG have a new kid on the block to deal with. Once again, thanks. An artfully, passionately and carefully designed axe. You will never hear my name but I can assure you that you have heard my licks.
- Richard Stickney, Nashville

I recently purchased a MK Patriot Custom. I have had it now for three days and cannot put it down. This is by far the best guitar I have ever owned in every aspect, tone, craftsmanship, action, tuning stability, looks, etc. I have only recently heard of your guitars through my subscription to Guitar Player Magazine. They did a 30 guitar roundup of guitars $500 or less. I have owned most of these guitars at one time or another and to put this guitar in the same category as most of the others was no competition. I have owned Gibson Les Pauls, American Strats, PRS SE's, Agiles, Lawsuit Ibanez's, Carvins, Schecters, many top names. NONE of these instruments come close to the instrument that I now proudly call my number one guitar. I have started a hunt for a MK Valor Custom in Walnut to use as a backup for the Patriot.

I just wanted to let you know I love Patriot guitar models. So far they are the only models I have played but as soon as I bought my first Michael Kelly guitar I was hooked. I sold my 2 Epiphones and will sell my Strat very soon. I have since purchased 2 more Michael Kelly guitars. I love the feel, the action, the sound - everything about them. As far as I'm concerned there is no Les Paul, Strat, Warlock, Ibanez ect that you could compare to how great your guitar is. I'm the lead guitarist for my band kara'scene and we're almost ready for A&R select to shop our demo to labels and start promoting us. We're also going to be on a compilation album later this year and I assure you my guitar tracks will be recorded with my Michael Kelly guitars and whenever I take the stage I will proudly showcase how beautiful your guitars are and let everyone in the crowd know there is no better sounding guitar.
- Joe Dickson, Carmel New York

About 10 months ago I purchased a new Taylor t-5 for quite a bit of money at Guitar Center in Dallas. A few months ago Guitar Center gave me a DVD on your Hybrid. I fell in love with its sound and simplicity, reviews on harmony central, and just had to have it. The neck is so very comfortable. I sold my Taylor strictly for the intention of replacing it with the outstanding Hybrid. I purchased your Hybrid natural from Guitar Center in Dallas. I am absolutely in love with your guitar. I play it in my church band each sunday morning. I love it more now than when I purchased it new from Guitar Center. This is my number one! I even have your/mine Hybrid as wallpaper at my office computer!

I have had my new Legacy O for three weeks now and just love it. I traded a 1966 Gibson A-40 Mandolin for it and I'll never have any regrets. The Legacy O is a beautiful site to behold and with a little set up help it plays fantastic.

My name is Chris Zamora. I am a guitarist from Southeast Asia now based in Chicago. I recently released my debut CD album featuring mostly a Michael Kelly Spirit semi-hollow guitar that I bought a long time ago. Let me just say that it is the best guitar that I have owned in my 27 year career. Thanks to the great tone, the CD has been getting great reviews. Also, the craftmanship of these guitars are so beautiful that I have chosen to pose with my Michael Kelly Spirit on most of my press and promotional pictures. They are also so reliable that I go on the road with them. More power to Michael Kelly. Thanks,

Just wanted you to know I purchased a Patriot Glory about a month ago from the Guitar Infirmary in Auburn, Indiana. It's the sweetest guitar ever! I swear, I don't know how you guys make guitars like this for so little money. It just flat out rocks. One of the female singers in my band was admiring it while it was sitting on a stand on stage. She said "I think that it is the nicest looking guitar I've ever seen." You guys are the bomb! Thanks!
- David Foster

Oh my Gawd! This thing is a tone monster!--better than anything I've played through my equipment thus far. The combination of this guitar and Rockfield pickups is a very pleasant surprise. I play through a Mesa-Boogie Nomad 100 2x12 combo amp and alternately use a Soldano Supercharger pre-amp for saturation changes. I have some nice effects, but the guitar sounds great just through the amp. Usually I use a compressor to fatten-up the sound, but I think the Patriot Limited sounds better without it! That's fricken crazy, right? How about this for a comparison... I sold my 2005 Gibson LP Standard after 4 months because I couldn't get the pristine sounds out of it that this $500 guitar gets out of the box. That is sad for Gibson and I now love South Korea--can't ignore the gems coming out of that country anymore. Back to the review... The Patriot Limited has a deep resonating sound and a bright crystal-clear top-end (not tinny like Ibanez). Overall the sound is very warm and pulls just the right bell-like tones out of my tube amp. The Patriot Limited is capable of ultra-clear bell-like tones as well as ear- splitting gnarly overkill saturated distortion. One can easily get perfect Stevie Ray Vaughn Strat-snap by selecting the coil-tapped neck pickup. This guitar is extremely wVintage, Indie, Jazz, to extremely heavy w/o 7 strings. The guitar is perfectly designed for live playing, and once the instrument acclimates to your particular climate, will remain in tune--even with abusive techniques. The hardware and electronics seem much higher-grade than Ibanez and Schecter--more like Gibson-quality. The tone control on this guitar is a TRUE tone control (not like Ibanez or Schecter that give you full treble until the last milimeter of knob turn). I've played guitar for twenty-five years (since I was about seven), own and have owned Ibanez, Schecter, Fender, Gibson, Epiphone, ESP, Charvelle, PRS, Mesa-Boogie, Soldano, Boss, Electro-Harmonix, Yamaha (keyboards), Westone (ancient), Lotus (ancient & cheap). I wish I had bought this guitar in-country (couldn't find one). I would replace it immediately if it were lost or stolen--matter-of-fact, as soon as I have another loose $500, I'm going to buy a Michael Kelly Valor Custom. I love it because it has outstanding crazy tone!
